Many years ago, I experienced a devasting fire.  In addition to being injured, I was faced with a tremendous property loss.  Throughout my physical recovery, I was also dealing with insurance adjusters to get compensated for the damage to my belongings.

After all was settled, two things were obvious. Firstly, having a written and photographic inventory would have made the whole experience much easier and quicker.  Secondly, I was under-insured and did not get the full value of my property loss.
